1. Can the outcome of private analysis be used as evidence in court case?
The outcome of private analysis may not be approved by court as evidence in court case. In case of court analysis, it is necessary to collect biological samples in accordance with clearly defined procedures. For this reason we offer both private and judicial procedure-use tests.

2. Is the collection of genetic material painful?
No. DNA is present in cells obtained from swab from inner side of the cheek. Thanks to that, it is not necessary to collect blood for the analysis, which is still being practiced in some laboratories. Nowadays, swab from cheek is enough. You may collect material by yourself using test set sent by our laboratory.

3. What happens with personal data of the client?
Personal data of clients are stored only for the purpose of the analysis. In order to protect them from unauthorized access, the data are located on secured server.

4. What is the confidence of the outcome?
After performing the analysis, our laboratory enables to affiliate with 99,999% confidence, which is the probability verging the confidence. In case of negative outcome, paternity is excluded in 100%.

5. Can the analysis be performed without the presence of childs' mother?
Yes. In this case the analysis concerns only the genetic features obtained from father. It is however important to remember, that the confidence of the outcome in this analysis is slightly lower than the analysis including three individuals. On average, the confidence of this type of analysis equals 99,96% for affiliation and 100% for exclusion of paternity.

6. Is it possible to collect the samples by oneself?
YES, of course. The entire procedure is very simple and it takes about one minute to collect sample from each person. In order to collect biological samples, it is necessary to buy biological sample collection set. The collection includes a swab from inner side of a cheek. After reading the instruction, everyone is able to collect the samples for the analysis.

7. What happens if the samples are improperly collected?
Despite the fact that collection of biological material is easy, sometimes it may be necessary to repeat the collection procedure. In this case, it is possible to recollect the material by oneself or use our help either in one of our partnership institutions or in the business office. Additional swab sticks are provided for free.

8. Is there any other option for the collection of biological material than the test set provided by your company?
YES, is is possible to deliver biological samples for the analysis in other form. However, in that case the analysis of the DNA is more complicated and thus we recommend to contact us before sending the sample. You may do it either by telephone or Internet. The material that can be later analyzed is for example: butt end, dummy, blood stain, ect.

9. Is there any age limit that enables the analysis, or prevents it?
NO. Analyzed genetic features remain constant for the entire life. Moreover, it is possible to collect the samples immediately after the birth of a child.

10. How long does the analysis take?
The outcome of standard analysis is known within 7-10 working days from the date of delivery of biological sample to our laboratory. However, it is possible to shorten the time of the analysis.

11. How can I order a test set?
You may order test set by phone, mail, e-mail or by filling in the application form on our website. The set will be delivered within two working days according to the chosen way.

12. Is it possible to analyze additional individuals using the test set?
YES, our test sets contain additional elements for the collection of the biological sample. After making a surcharge, it is possible to extend the analysis by additional child or putative father. In case of larger group of analyzed individuals, more swab sticks are added to the test set.

13. Is it possible to perform affiliation analysis during the pregnancy?
Unfortunately, NO. The analysis may be performed only after the birth of a child.

14. Can any medication influence the outcome of the analysis?
NO. Medication has no impact on the outcome of the analysis.

15. Is it possible to collect biological sample from deceased individuals?
In this case it is possible to collect biological sample from objects, that belonged to deceased person, e.i. a toothbrush. Another option is to perform the analysis concerning affiliation using samples from mother, child and grandparents from fathers' side.

16. Is it necessary to take precautions during biological sample collection for the analysis?
YES. It is crucial not to contaminate the sample swab with 'foreign DNA'. It means, that during collection of biological material it is possible to contaminate samples with other cells, e.i. from the epithelium of fingers or saliva of other person. To avoid contamination, it is necessary to obey the instructions of biological sample collection and in case of contamination – repeat the collection procedure. The person collecting the material should absolutely wear sterile disposable gloves.

17. Where is it possible to collect biological material for judicial procedure-use test?
Such biological sample collection includes filling in protocol and requires specific procedures. Therefore, biological sample collection in this case is possible either in business office of company or in one of our partnership institutions. In order to organize collection for judicial procedure-use test, please contact with our consultant.
