Affiliation for courts
GenMed Laboratory offers genetic analysis, that may function as evidence in affiliation court case.
Due to the fact of obeying specific procedures, the outcome of DNA analysis performed in our Laboratory may function as evidence in court cases concerning either exclusion / denial of paternily or affiliation, aw well as other court cases concerning establishing relationship between individuals, such as: divorce case, alimony adjudge.
Affiliation for courts requires collecrtion of genetic material from three individuals: mother, child and putative father. Genetic material is colected in the presence of court expert.
The entire procedure of material collection for the analysis includes three steps and lasts about 15 minutes.
Step I – filling in the collection protocol for affiliation analysis
The procedure of genetic material colection for affiliation analysis requires examination of identity of individuals participating in the analysis on the basis of their identity evidence (e.i. ID card, passport) by doctor or court expert. Sides of judicial proceedings will sign the statement about their agreement for the analysis and data processing necessary to perform DNA analysis.
Step II – Collection of genetic material
A doctor or court expert collects DNA sample – twice from each investigated person – by a swab stick from oral cavity. In order to collect a swab it is necessary to rub inner side of a cheek by using swab stick – a stick with cotton ending. Swab sticks with collected genetic material are further placed in an envelope by the person conducting the collection. The envelope is secured by proper sticker which breaks during an attempt of unauthorised opening.
Step III – Sending back samples to the laboratory
Envelope with DNA samples and thecollection form are dispatched by courier service to GenMed Laboratory where DNA analysis is conducted. The outcome of DNA analysis unambigously states either confirmation (minimum 99,999%) or denial of paternity (100%).

Affiliation for courts may be conducted both during and before the beginning of judicial proceedings. Acquired outcome of the analysis, due to applying described procedure, may function as evidence in judicial proceedings concerning affiiation or awarding alimony.
